 Noto - Beach |
Our
B&B is in Noto, in Sicily in the heart of Mediterranean Sea, to 55
minutes from Catania airport and to 25 minutes from Syracuse. Noto is the
European capital of Baroque. The
ancient “Noto Valley” was cradle of great civilization: Siculi, Arabs,
Aragonese, etc… one by one were in this place leaving many traces of
theirs come. Noto, built again after the terrible earthquake of 1693,
today is a town of 23.000 inhabitants, with care of UNESCO because
humanity artistic wealth for its monuments, churches and
eighteenth-century convents. All around Noto, rich of beautiful beaches,
can reach in a few minutes the Natural Reserve of Vendicari, visit the
rest of medieval city, archaeological site of Greek (Eloro) and Roman (mosaics
of Villa Caddeddi) origins and see from May to June wonderful shows of
classic tragedy in the fantastic scenery of Greek Theatre of Syracuse.
Noto is the ideal place to relaxing vacation from March to June and from
September to November, and for lover of the sea from June to September is
an ideal residential place to reach the beaches of Noto Marina, San
Lorenzo, Marzamemi, Portopalo and Capo Passero.
